After everything that transpired in book one we are now back in New Moon Beach with Olivia the owner of Mystique Creations her sister Constance owner of a deli and their older sister Harmony who is the Mayor. Now Jonathan, Larry and the girls are all partners in building Jasmine’s Cottages by the Sea on the land their mother left for them. The newest member of the team is Olivia’s boyfriend Jonathan’s brother Matt. Matt is a horticulturist on a one year sabbatical and everyone is hopeful that he will have some great ideas on how to utilize the land.

Olivia and Jonathan have still not gotten back together after everything that happened with the hotel his father was planning on building. And in addition to everything that is going on with the cottages and her store she has been finding herself waking up in different places. She goes to sleep at night and for some reason she is flying in her sleep and has no idea where she will wake up.

On a happy note everyone in Olivia’s life appears to be finding love. She loves Jonathan but he appears to be more interested in her cousin than her and she has resigned herself to the fact that they have no future. Harmony on the other has found herself and Matt caring for each other after their first meeting which was less than friendly.

The first order of business is to find out what is happening with Olivia and Harmony and Constance decide they have to visit with their mother’s family, a family of very powerful witches for answers. What is happening to her is a surprise to both Olivia and her sisters and her sisters do not take it well. I of course will not reveal what it is.

Olivia finds out the truth about Jonathan and her cousin and once again she was jumping to false conclusions. The biggest problem that the sisters and Gail have now that they have found the men they love is how to explain that they are real live witches and that some of them actually fly on brooms.

This was a wonderful addition to the series and although the series should be read in order the author does a great job of bringing the reader up to date. I loved all the characters especially Ms. Cassandra Olivia’s cat and familiar. We did meet Olivia’s great-aunts and great-grandmother and there is no doubt we will meet them again. I can’t wait for the next book in the series just to find out what happens with all the new couples.
