For glass artist Ashton Weller, Longboat Key seems like the perfect place to start over. It’s warm, sunny, and far from the dangerous ex he left behind in Chicago, even if his glass studio does get even more uncomfortable in the Florida heat. It’s also home to Terrance Manetti, a man who turns into Ashton’s inadvertent hero when he saves him from some unsavory types at a local restaurant… and may turn into more than that.

Former mobster Terrance has been in Witness Protection with his "brothers" ever since they turned state’s evidence against their former employer. His brothers have a different life here, filled with family and small-time, honest jobs, and Terrance doesn’t know whether to be jealous or derisive.

Not until he meets Ashton, anyway. With Ashton, Terrance could build the kind of life he’s never dared to want—the kind of life where he won’t need the skills he learned in organized crime. Or so he thinks—until Ashton’s past comes looking for him….

This is the third book in this series and if like me you are a huge fan of Andrew Grey then I have no doubt you have already read the first two books if you have not read any of his books then I highly suggest you start with book one, Bad to be Good and begin your journey into the world of Andrew Grey, books which elicit emotions both good and bad and always leave you wanting more.

Gerome, Richard and Terrance are all in WITSEC after testifying against their bosses before their bosses turned on them. Gerome and Richard have found their partners and new families while Terrance feels like the third wheel and doesn’t see himself finding anyone until he saves a young man from being abused by a bunch of bikers.

Ashton Weller is a glass artist who relocated to Longboat Key, Florida to get away from an abusive boyfriend. It has been two years since he picked up and left Frank Petrano a man involved in illegal activities. Ashton had no way of knowing that he once again has gotten himself involved with a man who like Frank was not a boy scout and did things that were illegal. But unlike Frank, Terrance and his brothers have changed their lives and only if someone is in need of help do, they do things that would be considered crossing the line.

Ashton is welcomed into the family and he knows that the guys are keeping secrets from him but his feelings for Terrance grow and he finally has people in his life and not just glass making. Then the unexpected happens when after two years Frank comes looking for him and Terrance and the guys jump into action because Frank’s association with criminals can bring their lives crashing down on them. If Frank’s appearance wasn’t serious enough someone from Terrance’s’ past arrives with Frank further jeopardizing everyone.

This book is about learning to trust and overcoming the past. Romance, sex, suspense and wonderful characters made this book impossible for me to put down.
