She's dead broke. And eviction looms. On Christmas Eve antique consultant Madison Knight takes a phone call from local rancher Zach Murdock. Through a mix-up at an estate sale, Madison's company purchased his grandmother's beloved painting. He offers double the money for its return.

Madison risks her job to track down the artwork, but success falls short when she's stuck in a blizzard. Stranded, she seeks help from a frontier family. Are they living off the grid, or did she somehow travel through time?

Zach's the only person who knows her plan. He also knows a secret about his gran's painting. It's up to him to rescue Madison, but maybe he's not cut out to be a hero.

Madison Knight is broke and facing eviction but hopefully the bonus she would receive on New Year’s would change her luck. Madison works for Once Again Antiques and a call about a painting would change her life.

Zachary Murdock called Madison hoping to get his grandmother’s painting back, a painting that was mistakenly sold during her estate sale. His grandmother believes that the painting once transported her from one time to another and when Madison checked the inventory the painting was still available. Unfortunately that was not the case since a blackout kept the inventory from being updated.

Hoping to help Zachary and his grandmother Madison make a deal with the new owner to sell it back, at a profit of course. Returning with the painting Madison is caught in a terrible snow storm that leaves her stranded on the side of the road. A tow truck can’t come for hours and Madison decides her best course of action is to try to find her way back to Mrs. Watson’s cabin where she had retrieved the painting from.

Instead of Mrs. Watson’s cabin she found herself back in December 24, 1875 being saved by a man named Zachary Murdock. Although I enjoyed this book I did not find it exceptionally romantic and at times confusing as to who was who and what happened to Zachary’s grandmother when she went back in time.
