Pippa Colton is a young attorney and baby, sister of Griffin Colton one of the owners of the Colton Agencies. Up and coming Pippa has just taken a case for a friend whose mother was just convicted and sentenced to murder. Pippa has looked at all the evidence, and will be trying to get the sentence overturned.

Detective Emmanuel Iglesias, handled this case for the Grand Rapids Police Department where he was the officer at the original trial, whose expertise and examination by the state cost the woman her freedom.

Griffin Colton asked his friend to keep an eye on Pippa. People were unhappy Pippa was taking on a case that the town had accepted as finished. The woman in question was not liked by anyone and behind bars she went, When Emmanuel meets Pippa, things happening, force him to possibly doubt his findings.

As always Regan Black spins a great story, the two meeting having mutual distrust; turning the relationship around to mutual attraction.

This Series concept is relatively newish….A group of authors, getting together to write a series, each writing a story in the same surroundings and writing one story.
