Tera Muldoon is the human vessel for the Muse of Dance. She owns her own dance studio and since she has not found her Guardian yet Nate Malone a Guardian and a police officer recommended Gavin Thompson to be her bodyguard.

Gavin was once in Special forces and a police officer now he owns his own investigation business and at Nate’s prompting he was encouraged to take the case himself. When Gavin saw Tera he was thrown by her beauty and her ability with the young children in her class. What he didn’t expect was a shy, quiet woman who seemed to only come alive when she was moving. Tera along with the other Muses is working on reopening the Les Neuf Soeurs (Theater of the Muses) with the hope of inspiring humanity in arts and science.

Ted Belkin was once very involved with the Order of the Titans and responsible for more than one Muses death he helped release Kronos into the world with the expectation that he would return The Golden Age of Man unfortunately what he got was a God filled with revenge and with not one ounce of concern over the human race. Ted realizing what a mistake he made is working at redeeming himself by working alongside Kronos with the hope of finding out any information he can that would help the Muses.

With Ted’s help, Kronos’ wife Rhea’s help and the help of the Muses and their Guardians there is a small chance of destroying Kronos but even with all of them working together they are not optimistic about their chances.

It doesn’t take long before Tera learns that Gavin is more than just her bodyguard he is her Guardian. A birthmark that Gavin has seems to burn whenever Tera appears to be in danger and when he grabs her and runs at a speed the makes her throw up he is convinced he has to go back for therapy. Tera is afraid to reveal to Gavin what he is but there is no choice and telling him that he is the Guardian of the Muse of Dance and has been given a super power by the Gods to defend his Muse when in trouble is not easily explained.

Of course, after reading the first five books there is no doubt that Tera and Gavin will be unable to stay away from each other and that he will do everything in his power to protect her. His first act of protection comes when her mother comes calling once again insistent that her daughter dance professionally and give up teaching. Tera grew up with a mother whose only desire was for her daughter’s career and it made no difference what Tera’s desires were.

Now Tera’s mother and Kronos are about to make her life miserable and with Gavin’s desire to put all personal feelings away and protect her at all costs Tera’s life is taking a turn for the worse.

This is the sixth book in the series, a series that I highly recommend and love. Book seven is the last book in the series and I have mixed emotions about that, I can’t wait for the end and dread the end at the same time. After book seven the Muses’ story will be complete and I will be looking for another adventure from Ms. Kessler.
