Vanessa Lang has graduated with a master’s in business analytics and managed to secure her dream job with the Stone Corporation, a global investment company. Her happiness at landing her job was overshadowed by her mother’s arrest for shoplifting an expensive necklace. Her mother suffers from kleptomania. This is not the first time she has gotten into trouble, but this time she faces jail. When Detective Herouvin offers her a deal, her mother will not go to jail if Vanessa goes undercover at her job to prove they are guilty of insider trading. She is between a rock and a hard place and just can’t imagine her mom in prison.

Her first day on the job she comes face to face with the CEO, Sebastian Stone a man she had previously met when she was in a dressing room and found him in his boxer shorts. Her first reaction was to yell at him for being in the ladies changing room only to have him point out that it is the men’s dressing room. Now there he is in front of her as gorgeous as the first time they met, and she must spy on him. In her rapid retreat from the dressing room disaster, she lost a necklace her father gave her before his death. Vanessa wore it always and her mother knew how much it meant to her. Her mother went to the jewelry to replace it. Fortunately, Sebastian had the necklace and returned it—but the damage was already done with her mother’s theft.

From the minute the two met they were drawn to each other and Sebastian is the one to make the first move. He wants to date Vanessa and get closer. All the while he is unaware of her attempt to betray him. She loves him, but she also loves her mother. Who does she choose, the man she has fallen in love with or the mother who has cared for her and loved her all her life? That is the question, and you will have to read this book to get the answer.

A beautiful story that I highly recommend. There is a lot of sex and at times Sebastian is more than ready, willing and able to risk doing a private thing in a very public place.
