Fiona Burns is part of the Connelly witch family, and in addition to being a witch she is a medium. Through her internet show “Spirits Talks” she drew the attention of Bailey Powers from Powers That Be, a TV production company who wants to make her a star and one of the top mediums in the country.

Bailey, unlike his parents has absolutely no reason to believe that mediums are real and he certainly doesn’t believe that Fiona is real, either. He is just interested in making a reality show that he is sure will be a success. He has no idea of the curse that follows the Connelly family, a curse involving a Woman in White who made a bargain when the first Connelly’s first arrived from Ireland. There would be a sacrifice of one of the Connelly family ensuring their survival. It is time for a visit from the Woman in White, and making matters worse is the appearance of a demon.

Bailey’s sister was killed fifteen years ago and visits by mediums and psychics insisting they could contact her just reinforced his belief that they are all fakes. He never imagined what would happen when he finally began to deal with Fiona because she began to change both his heart and mind.

Fiona, against the wishes of her coven enters a cave that was forbidden, and her actions have brought about unimaginable evil. She feels that Bailey has a role to play in her life. One incident after another opens his eyes to the unbelievable, magic, witches, demons and spirits. Not only is the Connelly family in danger, but the spirits in town are being used by the demon and have been unable to pass on.

I loved this book and Fiona and Bailey. Of course in book one, we met the rest of the family but this was Fiona and Bailey’s story. If magic, witches, fae, spirits, mediums, shifters and demons are your cup of tea then drink up because this is the book for you.
