Their love story isn’t easy.

Every night Ledger stands on the stage of Joker’s Sin, the most popular gay nightclub in Haven Hart, mixing music. Many of the people who come through the doors want his attention, but lately he’s only had eyes for the red-headed bartender, Shane. When Ledger is invited to be on a panel at DJ Con, he asks for support from his friends at Joker’s Sin. To his surprise, Shane shows up.
For Shane, Ledger is everything he’s ever been attracted to in a person. They’ve danced around each other for a while, but finally getting to know the intense DJ one-on-one, he realizes there’s even more to Ledger than he ever knew.
Then craziness ensues. Someone sets their sights on Ledger, determined to make him theirs, and he and Shane find themselves fighting for their lives instead of living it. Whoever is behind this will stop at nothing to get Ledger in their arms.
With people getting hurt and dying around Ledger, can he keep the one man he’s just finally admitted he wants from a murderous fate, or will someone’s crazed obsession end it all?

Finally, Ledger and Shane’s story is two characters I love. Ledger is the DJ at Joker’s Sin and Shane is a bartender and they have been dancing around their feelings for each other. When Ledger is on stage Shane can’t take his eyes off him and Ledger is always sneaking a peek at Shane’s way. The two of them need a good swift kick to open their eyes and finally get this relationship going.

When Ledger is invited to participate in a DJ Con Shane and Toby are there to represent Joker’s Sin only Toby has to leave early leaving Shane and Ledger by themselves. Toby has a plan and if this plan doesn’t bring these two together then they are hopeless. After everything is over Shane rides back to Haven’s Hart and It looks like Toby’s plan is working. When Shane helps Ledger bring in his equipment, he hears a lion’s roar and is ready to run only the lion in question is a grey African parrot named Lion and he does roar making him a perfect security animal.

Ledger and Shane’s relationship really takes off when Ledger begins to receive flowers and gifts with no signature leading them to believe he has a stalker. Ciro the head of security at Joker’s Sin knows full well that what may start out innocently can often turn deadly and so he makes it his business to have security amped up both at the club and Ledger’s home. Suspicion falls on a female DJ who is always after Ledger but although she always brings bad attention to herself, she is a close friend of Ledger’s and he feels if it is her then it is just her way of having innocent fun.

The stalker’s actions escalate and become deadly just as Ciro feared. In order to protect Ledger, he is isolated in his home with Shane and Lion for company. I am a firm believer that if someone wants to get to you, they will find a way and in this case they do. Who the stalker is and what happens to Ledger and Shane I will not reveal in this review.

Another wonderful addition to what I consider to be a wonderful series. The characters are wonderful, always there to help a friend when needed. Although this series can be read alone why miss out on some great reading.
