A wondrous tale of contemporary dragons and a young woman fighting for her life!

Eighteen-year-old Aleasya gazed briefly at each person in this exclusive area of the plane. Carefully she put her carry-on in the overhead before taking refuge in her personal suite near the window.

Tears poured down her face in endless silent rivers. Not able to stand it another minute, Aleasya sat up and took her tablet out of her tote. She searched for New York City news. It wasn’t the first story but it was there, the footage of the car being pulled out of the water. The car door was pried open. For the briefest of seconds, she saw her father’s hand with the ring showing the Fallon crest.

They were supposed to meet for dinner. When the time came and went, she called. Every time the phone went to voicemail. It didn’t make sense, her father always picked up on her calls no matter how busy.

Now she knew he would never call her back. In her head, she heard his voice. “Run, Sya Bear, run.” She sobbed, shaking so much that it hurt.

Aleasya gave the dragon prayer ring on her right forefinger a spin. I need help. Danger is closing in on me.

Eighteen-year-old Aleasya Fallon was preparing for a nice night out with her dad but it ended with her father’s murder and her running for her life. Following her father’s directions, she headed to the airport for the first flight out of the country and was just steps ahead of the assassin.

Aleasya landed in London, always on the lookout for the person she knew was looking for her. Acting the part of a tourist she finds herself lost and winds up in a little shop called Alice’s Antiquities and Extrordinairie but she gets more than directions because from the moment she entered the shop and a tiny dragon sang to her she was no longer just Aleasya Fallon she was a dragon keeper. Her family was the first dragon keepers in the UK and her Uncle James had been searching for her father and her for years up until his murder. Now everything belongs to Aleasya and she is the Lady Fallon of Skye Over.

Her troubles are far from over because someone is sending packages and notes letting her know that she is not safe. With Trulo, her tiny Lyra dragon she first met at Alice’s Antiquities and all the other dragons on Skye Over, she begins to learn how to be a dragon keeper and learn the dragon language. When she meets another dragon keeper, Richard Hampshire, things begin to look up for her because she has finally met the man she will love. Richard has a secret that causes him to walk away from Aleasya to ensure she will meet and marry the man that will give her the children she has always dreamed of.

The investigation into her father and uncle’s deaths leads to something that all dragon keepers’ thought was in the past, dragon slayers. Now dragon keepers and dragons are in danger and a war is brewing. It will take all the dragon keepers and dragons to fight together to defeat the dragon slayers and many will not survive.

Aleasya is a wonderful character devoted to her dragons who she treats like family. Trulo is her protector in spite of his tiny size and Richard, well that is something I will not reveal in this review. War is on the horizon and it will take all the dragon keepers and dragons to fight together. This was a sweet story filled with amazing dragons, all types and all sizes living and working together but the story is not over it is just beginning.
