I must say Padraig seems very familiar to me after reading the first two books….I wanted to tell him his reputation proceeded him and yet he was nothing like I expected. What we believed,  was that Padraig was a selfish, drunken womanizer. Maybe he had been when he was at school. But when push came to shove and he was cast from home never to darken his father’s door, Padraig was a fine caring young man who came to America and conquered it!

Having no knowledge about ranching, or farming, or horses or cattle, Padraig simply fit in with all the cow hands getting himself a job and working hard, learning hard and wound up a cattle baron!

It simply amazed me how caring and compassionate he was for his co workers, his town and his community. The most fun was his choice for a wife, his complete love at first site moment.

Lastly his wonderment of having his brother Colin come and I cannot wait to see if he and his Da will make peace…Padraig deserves this before his parents die….He is a good man.

Love the series…Keep them coming Ms Sweeney..
