Conn Macroich is a powerful Fae Warrior and a prince who gave up his right to the throne when he joined the Brotherhood to be a warrior. Conn and two of his fellow warriors, Liam and Rory, sacrificed everything when they assisted the Dragon Knights to rid the world of an evil Druid. Unfortunately, a mistake he made altered the history of one family. He made the wrong choice over a thousand years ago and turned a family into a miserable group of people who retreated from society. He must right the wrong and help Ivy O’Callaghan find the light.

Ivy Kathleen O’Callaghan arrived in Ireland after receiving word that an uncle she never knew about had left her his home and his bookstore. The only stipulation was she had to live in Glennamore Village for a year and could not sell anything. If she left, everything would go to the Village. She had no idea what she would find, or what secrets she would uncover. Having nothing to hold her at home, she was willing to give Ireland and her uncle’s rules a try. What she found was a beautiful bookstore and a cottage with a magnificent garden. Ivy was shocked when she found out that the entire town knew about her and that her uncle had been receiving photos and updates as she grew. Her father and her uncle were estranged, but her mother made sure he was always kept updated on how she was doing.

It doesn’t take long before Ivy makes friends in town and is welcomed with open arms by all the people her uncle shared her story with. Ivy has a secret, and it is that secret that Conn must get her to accept. When the two first meet there is an instant spark, something Conn had never felt in all his years, but it is something he will not pursue. Ivy is human and it is forbidden for a Fae to marry a human. However, when he starts helping her repair the cottage and begins to see her all the time, it becomes harder and harder to focus on anything but her.

Of course the story has its evil element in the form of someone who wants something he believes Ivy possesses. He destroys her garden, messes up her store, and is more than willing to kill her—except for the fact that Conn is always there to protect her. The love between the two of them grows and Conn can no longer stay away from her, he pledges his life to her and whether they are ever married, she will always be his, heart and soul.

I don’t want to give too much away, but I will say that the love story was amazing, there are secrets and surprises and I was left hoping the next book would be coming out soon and whose story would it be. Conn and Ivy’s love is eternal but can they overcome all the obstacles to their being together? I loved this book and highly recommend it to anyone who loves not just fantasy and paranormal but a beautiful love story.
