Gavin Leeds is a photo journalist on an assignment with Laurie in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. They are investigating rumor of white slavery and when they approach the cabin they believe is holding the women they are caught and chased. Gavin insists that Laurie go to the car while he tries to keep them busy chasing him.
When Gavin sees a cottage he runs for it and is met at the door by the owner Mike Ivanov who wastes no time chasing Gavin’s pursuers off his property. Gavin has no idea that when he enters Mikes’ home that his life would never be the same. Mike is a bear shifter and the Alpha of the Green Pine Pack and he immediately knows that Gavin is his heart’s mate, the only problem is that Gavin is a human and the alpha is required to bear a blood heir something two gay men can’t possibly do, in addition to the fact that Gavin may not want to be with Mike after he discovers what he is.
The appearance of Mike’s dead grandfather and the appearance of two rogue shifters brings some suspense and violence to this otherwise very romantic story. Two very sexy men who don’t hesitate in having sex the very first night.
