Paige Norman believes in a tangible, explainable world. When her ghost-hunting niece comes for a visit, she tries not to scoff. But someone, or something, is stirring up trouble at the Deerbourne Inn and her niece, Jillian, is at the center of the mystery.

Paige is certain the handsome Aussie photographer is behind the unexplained disturbances, and she warns her niece to stay clear. Meanwhile, Jillian gets to know the otherworldly Lady of the Deerbourne, who foretells an encounter with "two men." Then the pranks turn dangerous. Has her niece attracted a stalker or has she conjured an evil presence? Can the culprit be the man who has captured her heart?

This book was slow moving at times and although the title suggested it was about spirits and a blog called Spirited Quest it mainly covered the story of Paige Norman, Managing Editor of Willow Springs Gazette in Willow Springs, Vermont.

Paige’s niece Jillian Winchester comes for a visit and is staying at the Deerbourne Inn in search of ghosts so she can write about it in her blog “Spirited Quest” a blog that has several hundred thousands of followers and has many advertisers. Jillian is seeking the Lady of the Deerbourne Inn and knows that she will come to Jillian when she is ready, her aunt on the other hand only believes in what she can see and what she feels is factual.

Since her divorce eight years ago Paige has not been the same she dreamed of being a professional biker but a broken ankle put an end to that dream, her ex-husband has a brand new family including children something she was unable to have and so her job and Willow Springs are now her life.

Another visitor to the Inn is an Australian wildlife photographer, Mason Chandler who until the end of the book doesn’t seem to have any relationship with Jillian other than meeting a few times for drinks.

While Jillian is learning about the Lady someone or something is causing trouble, is it a human or a ghost? There is danger but that doesn’t present itself until the end of the book and who and why comes to light.

I truly liked Paige and Jillian and although I didn’t love this book I didn’t hate it.
