This is the second book in this series and my favorite. We once again reunite with the characters from book one, Allison and her fiance Logan,Tina Sanders Allison’s best friend and Trent Logan’s best friend.

Trent Austin has been left an old Victorian house that has been in his family for generations. His uncle, who Trent always thought was spooky left it to him. Trent wants the house sold as soon as possible and he calls Tina who is the best real estate agent he knows in addition to being the woman who broke his heart three months ago when she walked away from him.

Tina has watched her mother over the years fall in love with one man after another who did everything they could to change her and then just left leaving her mother broken time and time again, Tina is never going to allow that to happen to her even though Trent is the man she could easily give her heart to if she allowed it.

When going through the house both Trent and Tina had bad feelings about it especially on the third floor. There was a child’s room on the third floor and when they entered it they both felt something sinister. Tina saw a black shadow, the same shadow she has had nightmares about most of her life. Determined to fix up the house to get the best price Tina and Trent stay away from the third floor but the danger residing there still has a way of getting to Trent and it wants him dead.

Allison and Logan know that whatever is existing in the house has to be sent back to where it came from, but this is not an ordinary spirit it may be a demon and getting rid of it is easier said then done.

Tina fights her feelings for Trent but fortunately she is not successful and she finally gives in to them. Somehow they are connected to the house and we get all the answers. There were surprises that went back to the previous residents of the house, all of them Austin’s.

I read this book in one sitting because I couldn’t wait to find out what was haunting the house and why and what Trent and Tina’s connection to the house was. If haunted houses are your thing then don’t miss this series.
