Now that Shane Templar has stripped the armour from Matt Langer’s heart, will either of them ever be safe again?

Though two years past, Matthew Langer is still getting over the death of a loved one. He’s steered clear of serious relationships, but when he meets the irascible, dirty mouthed and tempestuous Shane Templar that decision has never been harder. Shane is sexy, warm and funny, and Matthew finds himself trying like hell not to fall for him. Especially when Shane, with his quick wit and hacking skills, is quick to stand up for justice and avenge wrongs. Then Shane strikes at the wrong target, and Matthew realises just how far he’s already fallen. At the threat of losing for good yet another man who has broken through his armour, Matthew finds his heart stripped bare. He must face the demons of his soul or a future without love.

Six years ago this month, Ms Mac Nicol released Stripped Bare, early into her coming into this new Gay Romance writing genre. Having read her M/F work and loved her writing…somehow by accident seeing this book on Kindle Unlimited; I realized I never read this work…..I had to have it!

I must admit this story has so many pieces, I wonder how a mind could fashion a story like this. In 350 ish pages, our author has deemed us a really tight piece of work, fashioning twist and turns into her main characters lives that came full circle….and I loved it!

When staid attorney Matthew Langer meets sexy Shane Templar it was not love at first site….Maybe lust…Matthew has lost his husband and love of his life two years prior in a tragic auto accident. For these years, Matthew worked and existed.

So when his best friend is almost beaten to death, and the person responsible is Matt’s boss, and also the father of this said friend, wheels go into motion. Clearly meeting Shane Templar through this event Matthew’s attraction is more than peaked and he tries soooo hard to NOT GET INVOLVED.

Shane is a free spirit, and after being thrown out of his family home for being gay, he found he was great at computer hacking, hacked money from his father’s account and never looked back. He works by word of mouth for big companies hiring him to test their firewalls and does very well.

Ms Mac Nicol gives us two young men that certainly have baggage……and discover the more they are together there is a chance to heal as they slowly peel off the layers they have suffered.. I cannot say enough about the spell she has woven, in giving us this story.

I do not want to give away any spoilers….Please take a look at it if you fancy a love story!
