This novella is told from the perspective of Johnny. He is flippant and irreverent to say the least. The story encompasses his life from early memories with his best friend Jacob, through schooling and into the present. The narrative shifts when Johnny meets Lex, and their whirlwind romance occurs. The friendship between Johnny and Jacob is the anchor in both of their lives, so it makes sense that when his world is turned upside down, that Johnny would turn to him. The pacing of this novella is super quick. It made the story feel a little rushed but the mystery was well done. The writing style was unique and made for a fun read.
