A Camp H.O.W.L. Novel

Once in a blue moon, opposites find they’re a perfect match.

Nick Perry is tired of helping people with their marriages, so when a spot opens up to work with teens at Camp H.O.W.L., he jumps at it. He doesn’t expect to fall in lust with the dreamy new camp doctor, Drew Welch. But Drew is human, and Nick has seen secrets ruin too many relationships to think that a human/werewolf romance can go anywhere.

Happy-go-lucky Drew may not sprout claws, but he’s been part of the Were community all his life. He has no trouble fitting in at the camp—except for Nick’s stubborn refusal to acknowledge the growing attraction between them, and his ridiculous stance on dating humans. Fate intervenes when one of Drew's private practice patients threatens his life. Will the close call help Nick to see a connection like theirs isn’t something to let go of?

Nick Perry is a werewolf and a psychologist who has decided he has had enough of listening to people’s problems and has accepted a job at Camp H.O.W.L. He is actually taking over for Tate who we met in book one and who has left. While aboard a plane heading for his destination he meets a man who sets off all his triggers but he is human and it is something he would never pursue for a long term.

A storm sends Nick and Dr. Drew Welch, the new infirmary doctor at Camp H.O.W.L. to a hotel where they waste no time getting together. Neither are aware that they are both heading to the same place and are sure that it was just an amazing one-night stand. Everything comes to light at a staff meeting where Drew is thrilled to see Nick and where Nick is the opposite. Unfortunately everyone is a werewolf except Drew so as the saying goes, the nose knows. Impossible to keep their attraction a secret.

Drew’s mom is married to a werewolf and he grew up in a pack so he is very aware of werewolves and pack life. He has visited the Camp many times and has had his share of hook-ups with some of the staff. He might not be a werewolf but his life is with his pack and his stepfather and stepbrothers. Knowing that Nick still can’t see a relationship with a human and fights his attraction. As they work together their bond grows stronger and Drew wants more but Nick in spite of his possessiveness towards Drew and his concern with him being human and being around wolflings can’t get past the fact that he is human.

Drew works very hard to prove to Nick that being human does not make him weak but after years of treating human couples he is convinced that the difference between the two of them is more than a relationship could handle. It takes an incident which I will not reveal to finally get Nick to get his head out of his ass but is it too late.

Another wonderful story of Camp H.O.W.L. with new characters and old characters we met previously. I will read book three and hope I have guessed who the next book will focus on. Hopefully it is Harris because he is a character I couldn’t help but love.
