It is almost Christmas and Georgia Blake finds herself without a job and running out of money.  Things are not going well for her–until she is attacked and saved by a handsome man named Trevor Stenwood.  Trevor is not your ordinary man. He is a born vampire able to walk in the sun, and has been following Georgia for quite a while, since she is his lifemate.

Georgia is thankful to Trevor for saving her and agrees to have lunch with him.  By dinner time, she realizes that there is something between them.  Trevor decides he has to tell Georgia everything about himself and her, and why almost every member of her family met their deaths due to some sort of accident.  Unfortunately, Georgia is not ready to hear his news and throws him out of her house.

Trevor needs to win her back, and she is more than ready to have him back.  She learns who and what she is and what he is, and she is ready to accept him just the way he is.  The only problem is there are demons wanting her dead.  Why are demons after her?  Can Trevor protect her?  Were demons responsible for the deaths of most of her family?

This was a wonderful story and Georgia and Trevor are wonderful characters.  We meet up again with David and Laura from the last book and they are back in Manhattan. There is sex, violence and love.  We are also introduced to the Arnheim Society that governs all the city’s undead.  I am sure that there will be more about the Society in future books.
