While searching for clues to her past, single mother Bree Mills discovers a subculture of aliens with supernatural abilities living on Earth. And she’s one of them. Finding herself hurled into a world of possibilities, it’s made more alluring by Quinn Taylor, the 324-year-old, violet-eyed Evoxian from her childhood dreams.

Quinn knows his destiny is entwined with Bree’s. He’s fraught with frustration and desire, but before he can confess his love, he must wait for her to sense the Akui, a mysterious force tied with ancient Evoxian law.

At a Cotswolds country manor, passions awaken and ignite a love more magical than the once-Utopian planet, Evox. Then Fate delivers a cruel and heart-breaking blow when Bree is kidnapped by a malicious alien who wants her and her power. Will Quinn still love Bree when she’s faced with protecting her half-human daughter… whatever the cost?

Brianna (Bree) Mills is a single mother who was adopted and is now searching for information about her biological parents, this is a search that would lead to things that were totally beyond anything she could have ever imagined.

The only thing she discovered was that her adoption file contained a beautiful pendant the same color as her unusual eyes, violet. All her life she felt different and began wearing blue contacts to keep from being stared and and bullied, now as an adult the contacts are a part of her.

While walking her dog in the woods she came upon a gorgeous man who she felt she knew. He was the man she dreamed about as a child but her first instinct was to run, which she did. Quinn Taylor and his best friend Drew watched her leave but he was determined to see her again and not let her go until he explained who and what she was. All her life she felt different and that something was missing from her life Quinn would have all the answers if she would listen to him.

Their next meeting Quinn began to show her and explain to her that she was not a human but was from the planet Evox sent to Earth as a child to integrate into human society. Evox once an Utopian planet is now dying and all will eventually relocate to Earth. The energy source is depleted and only one child was born in the last one hundred years.  Bree has no idea that she is bonded to Quinn and he has to be patient and wait until the Akui, a magical way one realizes their soul-mate shows Bree who he is to her.

Bree begins to accept the fact that she is an alien and even crazier than that she is a princess. Quinn’s job was to find the Evoxian children sent to Earth and tell them of their heritage. Although Bree accepts what he says she has no intention of returning to Evox leaving behind her nine year old daughter Lexie. Unfortunately there are still some things that Quinn has not explained to her and one of them is that Michael Locke a scientist from Evox is trying to find a cure for the Evoxian fertility problem but his research led him to perform horrific acts on innocent human women in addition to his quest to find all the talismans he can giving him power to rule Earth and all that live there.

Bree eventually realizes what Quinn means to her but when she is kidnapped by Michael and when it is discovered that she has a daughter she knows that her main concern is protecting her child, a child that would give Michael everything he wants in his pursuit of power. Her pendant or talisman contains powers which in spite of Quinn’s determination for her to learn what those powers are she has been unable to tap into.

Can Bree find out what her powers are and can they help her escape from Michael? Is it too late for Bree and Quinn? Lexie is aware of what her mother is and even at nine years old she happily accepts everything she is told. I don’t want to give anything away and although there is no cliffhanger there is also no doubt that we have a lot more to learn about Evox and Lexie, a half-human and half-Evoxian.
