Kylee Paradox is a Siren without a voice. Kylee is a bounty-hunter for Fate and she is locked into a contract that essentially makes hunting monsters a non-ending one. Kylee is given a new assignment by the new Fate, Julia who is much more likeable than the previous one, the one who took Kylee’s voice and left her mute.
Now she has to destroy a bicorn who devours faithful and devoted husbands and lovers. Unfortunately the job is in Las Vegas, the desert far from the ocean that keeps her alive. Her lover of the past ten years Alex insists on accompanying her but she fears for his safety. Not one to take no for an answer Alex finds a way to go with Kylee.
Since the job consists of visiting wedding chapels Alex is determined to finally convince Kylee that it is time they marry. Whether they do or not I won’t say.
This was not a long story and so I do not want to risk giving away anything but I will say that I enjoyed it and loved Kylee and Alex but things happened too fast for me. I do look forward to more in this series and reading more about Kylee and Alex.
