Paranormal Romance especially shifter books are my favorite genre and this book was a different view of shifter life in that the females were in control of the packs as opposed to the men.

Serena Lowell is a Dreamwalker, meaning her wolf only appears in the dreamscape and not in physical form. When she met Sam Wulfric in Maine during an interview for a new position in the Colorado Rockies she became convinced that he was her mate and because of that she relocated leaving her family and friends behind to accept a job as a Dreamwalker Therapist and follow the man she felt was her true mate.

After getting settled in she met up with the man she assumed was Sam, only after having a sexual encounter she discovered it was actually his twin brother Gabe. Was she wrong in feeling that Sam was her mate when everything she felt after being with Gabe pointed to him.

Serena has a boss from hell and now she is torn between two men, each of whom are convinced that they are her mate and are willing to fight for her. She questions whether leaving her home was the right thing to do but one of the men who works with her, Vince befriends her and makes life a little easier, that is until he shows his true colors and threatens everything.

I enjoyed this story of Serena and Gabe. I found the book to be a little slow moving at times but the author is setting the stage for this new series and I look forward to more. The book is not a cliffhanger but there is no doubt that things are going to heat up with the appearance of a new danger.
