Hostages in the tower, vampires in the caverns, witches in the drawing room.
Castle Logan lives up to its dark reputation when Zoraida returns to Scotland with vengeance on her mind.
To rescue her best friend forever, she’ll have to use every skill she’s learned. Will it be enough? How can a small-town fortuneteller hope to defeat the powerful witches of Castle Logan? The mysterious black crystal hidden beneath the East Tower offers certain victory––but the price is high.

The last book in the Zoraida Grey Trilogy finds Zoraida pitted against the entire clan of Logan witches. But if they think it’s going to be easy, they've got another think coming.

Zoraida and her best friend Zhu are being held in Castle Logan surrounded by witches who mean them harm. Michael Logan wants the Stone of Adamantine and knows Zoraida is the only one that can get it so he drops her in a deep hole and puts a spell on Zhu making her his obedient little servant. Zoraida escapes and Zhu is immune to magic, so far Michael is batting a big zero. Zhu decides to play along hoping to learn about who killed Rolf and what sinister plans Michael and his mother Ursula have.

The first half of the book is all about Zhu, a petite girl with a huge amount of courage. She constantly puts herself in danger of being caught and one time she is saved by a handsome Russian and friend of Shea. Filip Yefimovich Yefimov is every bit as big in body as he is in name and he knows that no matter what he says Zhu will do what she wants. In Castle Logan allies are few and fortunately Filip is always there to catch Zhu when she is so close to discovery.

Zoraida and Shea finally arrive at Castle Logan bringing along her granny Vera and Jock. During the book we learn about Jock, his involvement with the Logans and his involvement with the Stone of Adamantine. I won’t reveal who or what he is. Zoraida and Shea are determined to put an end to Michael and Ursula’s dominance of the small town surrounding the castle and the poor people who tread very lightly when working there.

In addition to getting rid of Michael and his mom there is a need to, well I don’t want to say what the need is but it involves crystal doorknobs. Magic, vampires, witches and brownies are just a few of the characters we meet but of course the stars are Zoraida, Shea, Zhu and Filip.

Each of the books ends in a cliffhanger and although that is something I hate I did love this series now as I write this review all the books have been released and there is no doubt in my mind that you will enjoy them even more than I did since you will not lose the flow while waiting for the next book to be published.
