In this reviewer’s opinion this is a great shifter series and if you are not familiar with it yet then I suggest reading book one to begin with. Although each book can be read as a stand-alone there are recurring characters and it makes for a much more enjoyable read when you know everyones story.
Vance Park is a jaguar shifter who was once one of the Nero Organizations top assassins and now he is part of the Sedona Pack and a store owner. Although he is no longer a killer he still lives with guilt and secrets from his past, secrets that keep him from the woman he wants. He lives with the guilt of betrayal and that betrayal would put hate into Kaya’s eyes something he could never live with.
Kaya Blackwing owns a restaurant and has lived through horrors at the hands of the prior alpha of the pack and Nero but has no idea what role Vance played in those horrors. She has feelings for him but since he has never made any advances and seems disinterested she has kept her feelings to herself.
It was Vance who killed the Nero founder and destroyed the Virginia headquarters but that did not put an end to the pack’s troubles. Typically when one organization is destroyed another rears it’s ugly head and that has not changed. The Nero satellite facility in Flagstaff is plotting and growing and their focus is on Kaya. She is the prize they want and why that is I will not reveal in this review.
As if the satellite facility is not problem enough Brad Newport a senate hopeful is interested in super soldier research which could expose the secret of shifter existence putting all shifters in danger. Although shifters are known for their strength it is no match for the sheer numbers the humans have on their side and a war between the two would not favor the shifters.
I loved this book and anxiously await more. The Sedona Pack is filled with amazing characters plus it is a thrill ride filled with excitement and romance.
