This book grabbed me from the very beginning and held me until the very last page. The characters were amazing and it was filled with suspense, secrets, surprises and romance. It was everything I love in a book and more. I loved it so much, I finished it in just one day.

David Jenkins works for the United States government in the Cognitive Mind Unit where he is a hacker. He is able to infiltrate minds, implant thoughts and steal secrets, all to protect the United States from enemies seeking to harm her. As a hacker, he requires the assistance of a trainer and his trainer is Meg. Unfortunately three years ago something went wrong and she died. Now his trainer is Geneva.

Grace Woznisky is a freelance artist trying to make enough money to pay her bills. She is divorced from her husband Greg after finding out he cheated on her. Since being laid off from her job she has gone out on her own with not much success. She meets David at an interview and when she doesn’t get the job, she is sure it was his fault. David makes it up to her when he hires her to work on his beach cottage but what she doesn’t know is that he has been obsessed with her ever since he first saw her searching the beach for beach glass.

Tired of being alone, Grace signed up for on-line dating and her first date is with someone who calls himself Brain. Being able to get into her mind, David is well aware of the date she is going on and manages to stop it. All he had to do was convince her that he needed her to start work on his project the same day as the first date. David is playing with fire because there is another hacker determined to kill him and he knows that involving Grace in his life could be dangerous to her but he can’t seem to let go of her.

Grace winds up falling for David and becomes his lover. However, when she realizes his ability to get into her head and read her thoughts she begins to question whether what she feels for him is real or something he put into her head. Then the nightmares begin and she is being pulled by another man who tries to take control of her mind, his reason is that she could hold the key to his finally being able to destroy David and then she would be all his.

There are no unanswered questions and even at the very end of the book there was a surprise I didn’t see coming. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. We meet a lot of characters in this book and undoubtedly we will meet some of them again can’t wait to see which ones.
