Seeing the truth and falling in love.

Dustin Robbins-Grayson was a surly adolescent when Quinlan Gregory started the nanny gig. After a rocky start, he grew into Quinlan’s friend and confidant—and a damned sexy man.

At twenty-one, Dusty sees how Quinlan sacrificed his own life and desires to care for Dusty’s family. He’s ready to claim Quinlan—he’s never met a kinder, more capable, more lovable man. Or a lonelier one. Quinlan has spent his life as the stranger on the edge of the photograph, but Dusty wants Quinlan to be the center of his world. First he has to convince Quinlan he’s an adult, their love is real, and Quinlan can be more than a friend and caregiver. Can he show Quin that he deserves to be both a man and a lover, and that in Dusty’s eyes, he’s never been “just the manny?”

Amy Lane just keeps delivering the goods in this ongoing series. This book focuses on Quinlan Gregory and his discovery that the family he has been caring for and loving, has in fact, been loving him right back – some more than others. Quin has been on his own ever since he learned being gay was not allowed in the Gregory family. Little did he know that being talked into being a manny to the Robbins-Grayson family would change his life in more ways than one. A virus makes it rounds of the traveling college music group, and it forces Quin home early. When the role of caregiver is switched into the now grown-up hands of Dustin, both young men are forced to see each other in a new light.

Dustin has loved Quin and has been waiting for the opportunity to show the sweet man his heart. Quin coming home early and coming home sick, gives him that chance. The age difference holds Quin back. Family issues come back around for Quin as well. But never underestimate a member of the Robbins or Grayson families, especially when they join forces with the other characters of this fantastic series. Watching the growth of these young men, watching their love story develop is one of my favorites in this five star series of books. There were so many moments that made me laugh, made me cheer, made me cry. This is a must read for any Amy Lane fan.
