Twenty-two year old Cassie McClain is a witch and she has been hiding that fact all of her life. Finally tired of hiding what she is she goes with a friend to Club Hecate a club that caters only to the supernatural community. Cassie is surprised when she makes eye contact with a man she knows is a vampire. Her mother had a premonition when she was pregnant with Cassie that she was dying and a vampire appeared to be her killer. In spite of her mother’s pleas to never go out with a vampire she is mesmerized by this particularone.

Branan Sinclair is the supernatural leader of the city and when he sees Cassie he knows that she is his destined mate, the only problem is that she is a witch. Branan was married to a witch who betrayed him and he has sworn he would never trust another witch again, unfortunately Cassie’s lure is to much for him to walk away from.

Branan invites Cassie to meet him at the club the next night which she happily agrees to. The following night when Cassie arrives at the club she has no idea it will change her life forever. Branan does not show and while on the roof waiting for him she is seen by a human man, a man she has no idea is trouble with a capital T. Branan knows he is not good for Cassie and decided he would not show up for her sake. He had no idea that his good deed would turn out so wrong.

I loved this story and although it was short it had everything in it. The characters were wonderful and what happens to Cassie and Branan is for you to find out. It is a worthwhile use of your time.
