Andrea McNeilly is still coping with the horrors in her past. She is still blood bonded to Lucien the Master Vampire of British Columbia’s Lower Mainland and still can’t decided between the two alphas she loves. It is while protecting Lucien at a summit to determine whether the vampires would form an alliance with the demons that her life once again becomes dangerous and chaotic.

During the summit a huge, nine foot, dog faced demon appears and begins chopping vampire heads off, this action definitely does not bode well for an alliance. With the demon gone and the vote for an alliance dead Andy believes that things will settle down only instead of settling down a nightmare from her past resurfaces. The demon that attacked at the summit was one she knew and one that was part of the gang rape she was submitted to at her old pack. She had never witnessed him in his demon form since he required a body to inhabit. With help from Sid the Seducer, Satan’s assistant and the small payment of a naked dance she discovers that this indeed is the demon from her past, Bola.

Then more chaos erupts when humans begin killing each other in a violent rage. It is well within Bola’s power to enrage humans while he is inhabiting another human’s body. Now Andy has to destroy Bola before there are more killings. What chance does she have against a nine foot demon from Hell? Would her beast, the one she tries so hard to keep from getting loose be a match for Bola? Every time she uses her beast she risks losing control of it.

Wick the wolf alpha and Tristan the Wereleopard king are still trying to convince Andy that she should choose one of them. As much as she loves Wick she can’t get the memory of him holding her down while Lucien blood bonded with her out of her head. He is Lucien’s slave and she knows that if push comes to shove he will once again have to hurt her if Lucien orders it. Tristan is free from any vampire’s control and yet she can’t decide.

Andy enlists the help of her witch neighbors, Ben and his apprentices to once again summon Sid. If she is going to lick a demon she will need advice from one. One naked dance later and she gets the answer to her questions. Andy finds out who is responsible for keep Bola earthbound but that doesn’t help her in getting rid of him. She also has to find out whose body Bola is using. Kill the human and get rid of the demon, or so she hopes but nothing is ever easy when dealing with demons from Hell.

I loved every book in this series and highly recommend reading them in order. The author brings closure in each book but the characters and their problems follow each story. I also want to applaud the author for doing such a wonderful job of bringing the reader up to date on what occurred previously, it is something so many authors don’t feel is necessary and they couldn’t be more wrong. If you finish a book in a series feeling satisfied then the author did a great job.

There is violence and gang rape although no actual sex. We are dealing with demons, vampires, shifters and weres so how could there not be some violence. I especially love Andy’s feras, her wolf, her falcon, her mountain lion and her invisible fox, Red. Every time Red appears on the page so does a smile on my face, he is adorable. I look forward to the next book in the series.
