Charlie Cochet has marked her ability with a slam dunk hit series THIRDS…..It has taken off so quickly to be a favorite of many readers. But, this is not going to be a one shot deal for this girl. Now, for your reading enjoyment, Ms Cochet has given us a Halloween spook-tac-ular ; certainly a story with a different feel, a change from the Therian- Human world she has already created. Between the Devil and Pacific Blue will keep you riveted to your seats , written with a hint of glamour about a hotel, a security guard, where the past and present meet……

Detective James Ralston has worked the nightshift as security guard at the old Pacific Blue Hotel. This elegant old girl had been the cat’s meow in its heyday. The walls are still covered in tapestries, the rugs are worn. At night James makes his rounds and we find him in the early hours going to the radio room, meeting with a handsome guest Franklin Fairchild.

I picture these scenes Ms. Cochet described are out of a black and white movie with the music playing from a gramophone as these two men get closer and closer. I do not want to spoil the story or the ending, I will say it is a wonderful story which Ms Cochet departs from her normal writing and shows us something different. Great thriller for this Holiday Season
