Pace Ruffalo is a retired US Army Space Ranger and now the owner of a long haul space fleet. Now that he is thirty-five he has decided it is time for him to take a wife only he knows that he won’t meet the woman of his dreams at a club and definitely not one of the women his mother is always parading in front of him so his only option is to go to Gerri Wilder the owner of a paranormal dating service.
Pace has been torn between his desire for males as well as females but he knows that a female is who he wants to be married to and he is willing to give up men if he finds the right one. Pace would never consider having a three way relationship because monagamy is a must for him. Pace is very surprised to learn that Gerri is totally aware of desires and has chosen a mate from the planet Gemma-Hydrox a planet Pace never heard of in spite of his frequent travels throughout the galaxy.
When Pace first sees Lola he sees a muscular solidly built woman, the very woman he dreamed about and the fact that she is lavendar doesn’t make a bit of difference to him. The first thing that Lola said to Pace was let’s go have sex (well that isn’t exactly how she put it but let’s just say it was very direct). Pace refuses saying he wants them to get to know each other first and throughout the day Lola does everything in her power to change his mind. No surprise Pace is a man ready willing and able and can take just so much, so sex it is.
Pace knows that Lola is the woman for him, what he doesn’t know is that she has a secret that could change everything and send him running for home. They both have a lot to learn about each other and when they do will they still be together.
I loved this book since it was quite different from other books I have read, Lola is a woman who is not afraid of saying what she wants and Pace is a man who may have finally found his dream woman. Between Lola and Calamity, Pace’s ship’s computer I had quite a few laugh out loud moments and look forward to the next book in the series to see what magic Gerri can perform again.
