Michael Mitchell is a police officer from Denver who has traveled to Vegas to bring his best friend John’s body back home to his family. While visiting Vegas John and Michael went to a strip club where John left with a woman and was later found murdered. While waiting for John’s body to be released Michael once again visited the strip club only when he sees one of the strippers he is sure she is the one who left with his friend and is probably his murder.

Jazz (Jessica) Connelly has been a stripper for years having left home at the age of sixteen when her mother’s boyfriend began to touch her. She knew it wouldn’t be long before he would rape her and so she left. When Jazz sees Michael there is an instant attraction between them but she has no idea that his request for a lap dance was a ploy to get close to her. Jazz goes against all her rules and allows him to touch her. Her desire for him is so strong that she is willing to do anything to have him close but when he stands up and asks her why she killed his friend she runs for her life.

Michael is sure that Jazz is John’s killer and goes to the police an action that would change her entire life in ways she could never have imagined. It doesn’t take long before Michael notices little differences between Jazz and the woman John went with but even though he takes back his accusation against her it just opened a can of worms that would leave Jazz questioning everything in her life.

The killer is Lola and she is Jazz’s mirror image leaving only one possibility, Jazz and Lola are twins and that just leads to Jazz discovering she was adopted. What she finds out about her biological parents would leave anyone feeling totally lost. Jazz has so many questions and Michael has promised to help her find the answers.

I don’t want to go into too much detail about Jazz and Lola and what brought them to where they are, Lola a heartless killer and Jazz a stripper who both had men in their lives who wanted the forbidden fruit. This book is full of explicit sex, BDSM, murder and torture. Two girls who should have had the world at their feet but instead were betrayed by those that should have loved and protected them.

In spite of everything Michael and Jessica’s story is wonderful and he offers her what she has always missed, comfort and protection.
