I hate to bore you with this funky opening in my review that is mentioning a new author to me. I had to explain that I had the pleasure of meeting Carroll Poe about 10 minutes after arriving at the Dreamspinner Conference in Orlando. Rhys Ford pulled me up to an adorable young girl, ‘ she just ‘had’ to introduce me to…’, to tell me ‘ I will adore her books’… I found from conversation over lunch that Ms. Poe’s books were just what I love to read and noted to self…never argue with Ms. Ford!.

I loved the first in the series and already have written it’s review. Where do I begin? Storyline? Check, characters? Check, mystery? Check, humor? Check, romance? Check check ! I am gushing I think

The scene is NYC. (my town? check) We meet Sebastian Snow an antique dealer living with his ‘in the closet’ partner of 4 years Police Detective Neil Millet. Sebastian is smart, and strong and self- effacing and funny and snarky. He is an old man in a 33-year-old body. If you have read JCP’s PSY-Cop very Victor Bayne.

Sebastian again continues to want to ‘follows the murderers clues’. This time the clues are all related to P.T. Barnum Museum. This is Calvin’s case. And Sebastian just barrels thru following the clues.

The attraction between Sebastian and Calvin sizzle off the pages. The author writes an interesting mystery and a wonderful love story…Pushes all my buttons…

Cannot wait for the next adventure!!
