Mercy Rose is an Earth witch who has been dealing with a break in at her Colorado flower shop and a court battle which she fortunately won but which still drained her. Her sister Hope has insisted that Mercy needs time to unwind and find some peace and has booked her into the Deerbourne Inn in Willow Springs, Vermont for six months, but once again her intended vacation would be met with problems.

When Mercy arrived at the Inn she was informed that there was an error in her reservations and she was only booked for two weeks so her six month trip was now going to be only two weeks. It was then that Silvanus (Sil) Forrest the owner of Mystic Maples offered to rent her his cottage. At first, hesitant it didn’t take long before she agreed, and it didn’t hurt that Sil set her on fire. She is anxious to visit Mystic Maples which is rumored to be enchanted.

Silvanus has a gypsy/fae heritage and has secrets. He knows that there are those of his distant relatives that were not considered “good” and so he keeps a low profile in order to not attract too much attention to himself. He knows immediately that Mercy is a witch but has a few rules for her when she stays at the cottage, rules that unfortunately will not be heeded since Mercy’s curiosity which always gets her into trouble will once again rear it’s ugly head.

The attraction between Mercy and Sil leads them into temptation (lol) but when she touches something he tells her not to they find themselves back in the mid 1700’s. While there Sil finally learns about his relative and the blame placed on him over magic that was not his fault.

Sil is finally free of the past and now he and Mercy have to look to the future, but will the future be a HEA for them or will Mercy return home to Colorado. Witches, romance, fae/gypsies and time travel what more can you want from a paranormal romance.
