Meeting Bennett Jackson and Les Cooper we learned they were complete opposites. Les was assured and handsome, kinda a household name in DIY television. Bennett on the other hand was catapulted into his own show by inheritance. His grandfather has left him multiple properties along with his own home. Bennett now has his own show featuring him and ‘his friend’ Frank Durbin rehabbing these properties.
We open to learn Bennett is unconscious; hurt by Frank. We also learn Frank has been arrested and then fired from the TV show. Les Cooper just happens to have left his DIY show and his bosses transport him from his home in the northeast clear across the country to Seattle to be Bennett’s rehab partner. Bennett is a fan of Les we learn and has a crush on him. How could he not? The man is smokin’ hot!!! Les by the way is not too happy having to move clear across the country that is until he lays eyes on sweet gorgeous Bennett Jackson.
So you’d think this would be the sweet story line right? easy peasy?……But our author Blake Allwood has a surprise up his sleeve… with a well honed mystery thriller keeping the reader guessing on quite a roller coaster ride.
I loved reading my first book of Mr Allwood’s, and it surely will not be my last. I notice this is a trilogy so I am up for that as well, with a few other titles that look interesting…
