I never expected my ex to walk back into my life. Especially as a vampire. Macory "Mac" Jacobs walks back into our southern small town and my life will never be the same. He pulls me into his world of supernatural creatures that I thought were only fiction. He asks me to help him run a blood donation program to serve the local vampire protection and protect the neighbors we grew up around. But he has no idea how much risk this request will put me in and I need him close to keep me safe. WIll my heart want him even closer?
Or will the confident and oh-so-tempting boss of his, an archdemon named Felix, sweep me off of my feet? He is just as drawn to me as I am to him. Clues will begin to emerge that there are reasons from our past for such an attraction. I had always known there was something different about me and these revelations will surprise everyone I love.

Rozalyn Hunt owns the Rejuvenate Shop in Steiner, Alabama, her life is going great until her ex-boyfriend, Macory “Mac” Jacobs , her high school love who dumped her leaving her filled with unanswered questions, i.e. why did he dump her and where did he go after he left enters the shop. Seeing him brought back all her feelings only she immediately realized that he was no longer human but was a vampire. The existence of vampires has been public knowledge for almost two years and now Mac is hoping that Roz will work with him.

Mac is now the new magistrate for the district and he is hoping that Roz will start some new spa services to accommodate the vampires that will be moving into the area. In addition to her using her spa he wants her to be the blood medium arranging for mortals to give their blood to vampires when needed. The donors would feel no pain and would be reimbursed and after a demonstration of what it is like to give blood the list of volunteers is huge.

When Felix the archdemon of the entire southern dominion enters her shop her first response is to tell him to leave and within minutes she calls him back and has sex with him. She realizes that she has very strong feelings for Felix even though they just met. She also knows that the love she had for Mac is still alive and well. When both Mac and Felix tell her that monogamy does not exist with vampires she has a decision to make, Mac, Felix or both. Of course I would vote for both but I don’t get an opinion.

I need to be very careful with this review for fear I will accidentally give something away and if I did it would definitely spoil it for everyone reading this book. I will say that the first half of the book I loved and it went very quickly, I read it in one sitting, but the second half blew me away. Secrets are revealed, betrayals, the truth behind Roz and her feelings for Felix and her love for her best friend Darby. There is also danger in the form of another archdemon who wants Roz and that is one of the things I won’t reveal.

I can’t recommend this book highly enough, there is a lot of sex, more than that I won’t say but if you love paranormal romances that leave you wanting more and this book leaves me hungry for more even though it ended in a cliffhanger that didn’t matter and I hate cliffhangers. My one negative is that I have to wait for book two so hopefully it won’t be a long wait.
