The shocking conclusion to the award-winning Secrets of Redemption series where long-buried secrets will finally be revealed.

It’s happening again—people are disappearing.

And just like before, the finger is pointed at Becca.

She knows how it looks … and that she’s being set up.

Someone is following her. Sneaking into her house. Planting evidence to make her look guilty.

The problem is, she has no idea why.

The bigger problem is, no one believes her.

And time is running out.

We find ourselves back in the small town of Redemption with our heroine (or is she?) Rebecca aka Becca surrounded by her friend Mia and Daphne, new “sort of” boyfriend Daniel and step daughter Chrissy, a sometime rebellious teenager.

At this point in the third in the series, Becca’s cousin “CB” has been arrested for an age old murder of their friend Jessica, who disappeared years before.

You will be reintroduced to few characters you know from the first two books in the Redemption series, but this time around Redemption serves up so cold hearted individuals which will leave you spell bound…or is it Becca who is spell bound?

Becca’s Mom keep insisting she leave behind her Aunt Charlie’s old so called “haunted” house and move back to New York immediately, or be forever vanquished and all funds cut off from her parents. Meanwhile Becca has plans to reopen her Aunt Charlie’s “specialty tea” business and go back to her own artwork, and sets up a Studio to do just that…

A series of unsettling events begin once again around Aunt Charlie’s house, as Becca and Mia (now Becca’s roommate) hear strange noises, doors shutting and footsteps- but all the doors and windows remain locked and no one is around.

While most of their old friends treat Jessica fairly well (as long as talk stays away from cousin CB or Jessica’s disappearance) things escalate at a memorial service for Jessica when her mother Louise loses it at Becca and tells her to get out of town.

Then things really heat up as Gwyn (former fiancée of Daniel, policeman and sort of boyfriend to Becca) starts getting threatening emails and notes left on her car – which she promptly reports to the police (Daniel in particular) that they are all coming from Becca.

Becca of course denies all responsibility and looks for someone who could be setting her up. Daniel says he believes her – but then he is a local policeman after all, right?

Miraculously, an anonymous someone sends Becca emails signed “A Friend” stating that she is indeed being set up and they can help her prove it.

And that is when the trouble really begins for Becca, with dreams and visits from her dead Aunt Charlie – and her dead friend Jessica – telling her to be ware – that EVIL is all around her and she must find the evidence that will free her.

Becca decides to follow leads from this so called “Friend”, and she ends up in dire straits….add to the mystery drugs, dark country lanes, seedy bars, a mysterious blue truck and shadowy figure that only Becca seems to see…..

Becca now truly believes someone is out after her – but who?

Louise Jessica grief stricken and hate filled mother? Brittany (Jessica’s niece), who is also a friend of Mia? Pal Barry or his wife Celia, or her brother Tom?

And what about Daniel, who Becca sees talking in hushed tones with his old flame Gwyn – are they in on something?

It couldn’t be her step daughter Chrissy (who is being nice most days now) or roommate Mia – nor could it? They are around the house with her and have access to her things…

What about the cool, handsome stranger who goes by only the initials JD who Mia got a job for at the café? He only ever offers to help her and shows up at the grocery store – not really a clue there.

Then local nurse Ellen disappears. She once dated Daphne and worked at the same psychiatric hospital where Becca was in when she was younger.

Everything that is happening that is bad or unanswered seems to be directly connected somehow to Becca – or so the nosey parkers in town would have one believe.

Things get very bad for Becca, when all her alibis disappear in thin air (like her friends) as more and more bodies turn up. Then her Aunt Charlie returns to tell her to get protection from some mysterious jade piece, hidden “somewhere” in her house. What?

All Becca keeps getting is more dead bodies, no explanations and still is being stalked by an unknown assailant.

She “thinks” she is safe at home with new door locks and an alarm system – until she finds herself attacked and tied up – in the very room where “Mad Martha” historically committed suicide.

Becca’s mind is reeling and so will your nerves when all is revealed…..surprise after surprise, layer after layer, personalities revealed and age old secrets opened up …

Is it this room? Is the EVIL that is present focussed here? Who or What is after her?

All is revealed but the ending of this part of Becca’s life will leave you wondering what is next for Becca and Redemption. Only time will tell.

We can only hope there is another EVIL series lurking somewhere in our future – if we can stand the suspense and survive the wait….but I recommend not venturing into any old basements or locked rooms while you wait!

P.S. Leave the lights on when reading this one!
