One woman holds the key to making the fallen angels whole again…unless she allows the ghosts from the past to keep her from her future.

BBW Paranormal Shape Shifter Romance

Widow Cass Stephens wants to mourn in peace. A freak snowstorm, and the fear of no snacks, drives her out into the cold and into the arms of two sexy shifters who may or may not want to rob her of her can opener.

Jax and Damon have been cursed. They need Cass to complete their Alpha Triad and awaken the dormant beasts within them. And they really need that can opener.

Acceptance from their Clan is enough stress, but Cass’s presence brings unease to the surrounding packs and they’re willing to start a war to stop the Triad from forming. Cass will either prove she’s strong enough to be part of the most powerful Triad the shifter world has ever known or die at the hands of those who are afraid to find out.

Content warning: This book is for grown-ups. They do grown-up stuff. Explicit love scenes, threesomes, cursing, and violence. Oh, and sexy shifter fun. If this isn’t your thing, please skip this book. But if you love M/F, M/M/F, fun times, and men who lurv their woman then hop on in!

Cass has been a widow for two years and since her husband’s death has lived in a state of constant grief. She works from home and rarely does anything for fun. When a freak snowstorm hits New Rose, Maryland in November she discovers that she has no food and even a can of tuna is useless without a can opener and hers is broken. Her car won’t start and she is left with only one solution brave the weather and walk to the market.

Jax is the Alpha of a shifter clan unlike any other, he and his Omega Damon have also headed for the market to bring back supplies for the clan. It was at that market that both of their lives and Cass’ would change forever. Jax and Damon are an incomplete pair in search of their third, the one that would complete them and bring back their animals. I won’t go into detail as to why their animals are gone and only their spirits remain or even what their animal was since it is an important part of the story and should be read first hand.

The market isn’t really what brought the three together it was a can opener, a can opener that Cass had just reached for, a can opener that was the only one left and as she reached for it so did Damon. Jax and Damon immediately knew that Cass was the one that would complete their triad but she is human and would have to accept them and be willing to be part of a threesome. Cass realizes that Jax and Damon are shifters, shifters were no longer a secret since they revealed themselves thirty years ago but she has no idea what they really are.

Including Jax and Damon there are eight in the clan and even if they were lucky enough to get Cass to agree to be with them there is no way of knowing how the others in the clan or the other shifter clans would react to the completion of the Triad. Even Jax and Damon have no idea what their animal will be and what would happen to Cass if they eventually all bond together.

When Cass agrees to allow them to drive her home and they get stuck in the snow just outside her door she welcomes them in for coffee and the use of a shovel to dig out. She has no idea why she feels this immense sexual attraction to Jax and Damon but she wants to be loved and cherished the way her husband Andrew used to and it doesn’t take long before coffee and a shovel are no longer an issue.

This was a very unique take on shifters, shifters unable to shift into their animal and as I mentioned before the story of why they are called Ghost Shifters is well worth the read. There is very explicit sex and some suspense and it was everything I would want in a shifter book.

I look forward to the next book in the series.
