I have to get to Felix. He had left, and for weeks I thought it was his choice. But when the Unseelie King comes to tell me in person that he believes Felix is being held against his wishes, I know that I will do whatever it takes to save him.

Things at home aren’t going to make it easy. With Felix gone, another archdemon named Meredith has arrived to take control of his dominion. She wants the power that Felix had. And she wants Mac for herself.

I will have to make my mark on the mysterious world of Fairy before I can try to bring Felix back and save Mac and Jason from Meredith’s grasp. Can I pull it off before Meredith and her demon overlord boss figure it out?

This is the second book in this series and if you have not read book one then I recommend not reading this review since it may give away spoilers. This is a series that must be read in order so I would begin with book one The Bliss Drip.

When we left off in book one Felix had left to free the angels he helped imprison and to correct the mistakes he made centuries ago. Roz has no idea where he is and when King Conall of the Unseelie Court arrives to explain that Felix is in the Neodrach, a neutral land between courts in Fairy and it is unknown if he is there willingly or not. Roz and Darby must go to Neodrach and find Felix and bring him home but it is a mission filled with danger.

Since Felix has left Devina has appointed a new archdemon to control the dominion, Meredith the total opposite of Felix rules with an iron hand and is only after power. She also wants Mac and makes no secret of it. In order to occupy Meredith while Roz is going after Felix Mac is willing to go along with her and it means in every way.

Roz’s human parents are also escorted to the Unseelie Court as King Conall’s guest keeping them safe from Meredith. Of course who wouldn’t love being in a fairy court, I know I wouldn’t. Finding Felix is dangerous but also very surprising and I will not reveal any of it.
The quest to free the angels, Roz’s angel parents and Felix and Darby’s cannot be accomplished without Felix so getting to him is of the utmost importance.

So much happens that I will end my review now for fear of revealing anything important. The book does once again end with a cliffhanger but I can live with that since I love this series. Sex, lies, betrayals, secrets and surprises what more could you want.
